Disclosure Policy

The 2009 revised Federal Trade Commission {FTC}  guidelines regarding endorsements and testimonials in order to protect the public from any intentionally errant or misleading advertising that has been paid for by a group or company. That Pen Life may be used as a source of income and may occasionally incorporate endorsements or testimonials, so it was important to disclose the following to you, my readers:

I hold myself accountable and to the highest standards of integrity, while striving to deliver fun, interesting, helpful, and encouraging content while generating a small profit to compensate myself for the tedious hours of research and need to constantly churn out ideas. Besides, (blogging ain’t cheap and a girl gotta eat. Just keeping it real.) Beyond that, I love and appreciate every single one of my readers and make it my goal to be up front and honest with every post I write.

  • The content of my blog may be a source of income for me and therefore may be used to promote products, services, or other businesses.
  • I will ONLY choose to promote products/services/businesses that I have used and feel may be beneficial to you (my tribe).
  • Products provided by my advertising partners for review are given free of charge with no cost to me. This does not ensure a positive review of the product. I’m plain and straight forward and if I don’t like it, firstly, I won’t use it nor will I promote it.
  • I’ll always give genuine opinions about a product or service whether or not I’m partnering with the service provider and/or receiving payment to do so. This also means that if I find through later use that I can no longer stand behind a product/service, I will make it known.
  • My number one priority is accuracy and fairness to my readers, and would never compromise the truth just to make a dollar. Ever.
  • Mentions of associated products/services/businesses within the content of my blog may or may not be noted as an affiliate in every reference.
